Hi! My name is Ella van Dyck
I am an Australian Audio Director, Creative Director and Producer for video games.
I have worked in the games industry for 10 years but really I’ve been surrounded by video game development my entire life. I grew up learning about the creative and technical process of music composition and audio design from my father, award-winning video game composer, Jeff van Dyck. I learned piano from an early age and began composing in my teens, simultaneously learning more about game development.
My video game credits began in my teens, across a range of audio including voice acting, sound design, music and post-production. After receiving a scholarship from the Queensland University of Technology, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Music with Distinction. Throughout University, I worked on various indie games and began working full time in the industry after graduating.
In my career, I continue to work on both Indie games and AAA. I have upskilled and taken on various responsibilities across the different projects I’ve been involved with, including Game Design, Production and Biz Dev.
I am best known for my work on Unpacking, FORTS, PubG, On Point, and my own game, Gravity Bubble. I strive to bring passion and personalisation to every project I am privileged to be part of, and love being able to apply my multiple skills to help build a game and bring each unique vision to life.
